je00143
I read with interest the strap lock blog for a 555. But what do you do with a 575, where the strap holder is the jack? Hate to appear dumb, but….I'm dumb!! I searched the database, but there are no leads that I can find. Thankyouverymuch!! Appreciate any help. zydecosoultrain
That's a very good question je00143, I'm in a bit of a quandry myself, and the guitar shop where I get my lessons didn't really know either.
big bob
you can have the jack moved to the side.
Steiner
There are three fasteners where the tail piece attaches (plus the guitar plug). Use one of those three; it works fine.

jazzrat
To be honest I only use one straplock on my guitar for a couple reasons. 1. I've never had a strap slip at the butt end, it's always the neck button. The angle and the way the guitar hangs makes the tailpiece button pretty secure. Also with a 575, once the strap is on and the chord is plugged in throuh the strap that sucker ain't goin' nowhere. 2. When using both straplocks, it's really easy for that second one on the end of the strap to whip around and ding the guitar. I know you've got to be careful but I've seen it happen so I'm very comfortable just using the one at the neck.
