big bob
I'm in the process of measuring / dimensions for the interior of an amp head cab. I need to know if its important to keep the reverb pan any particular distance from the rest of the guts? Will the tranies or tubes mess with the pan if their proximity is too close? Thanks! H
Shouldn't be a problem, big bob. It's not usual to put a reverb pan into an amp head though.
Steiner
I've done it. Nothing negative came from the exercise - it worked. The serial number should indicate whether it's horizontal or vertical orientation.
bolero
lots of vintage Traynors had the pan attached at the bottom of the head I think some of the SF Fender heads did, too?
TalismanRich
My old Guild amp had the reverb tank suspended above the preamp circuit board and tubes. Didn't bother a thing.
