RJLII Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 Did a little horse trading with Brentrocks yesterday afternoon and came away with a ThroBak 18 watt Classic Combo amplifier, a clone of the 60's era baby bluesbreaker 1974X. As part of the deal I left the Korina McSoapy I've been storing for him for the last year. My Carr Rambler has the Blackface thing covered and my Victoria Ivy League is all over the Tweed thing, so some EL84 chime seemed like a good idea. After an hour or so of playtime it seems as though it was indeed a good idea. They say there's really nothing quite like a Les Paul through a Marshall (or Marshall clone). I Concur.
