Mesa Fillmore 50 head and 1x12 cab.  I was trying to offload an extra guitar, which i did (in trade) and got a set deal on a Fillmore 50 head and a cabinet.  Head is only 26 pounds.  Been looking for a lighter and smaller tube head to gig with.  This one might be it.

I love my MB 5:50+ Express head.  I really like the fixed bias and the ease of trying out different tubes in it.  So I thought I’d go for it as the price was right.  The two amps are different animals, and it was a bit of a gamble, but I think this amp will suit me fine.   Will report back.

Here’s a video of Heritage artist extraordinary playing a Fillmore 25 (6v6 version).  The Fillmore 50 is 6L6.

I've owned so many amps I can't count them all, and I still own quite a few, and... I like my Mesa Fillmore 50 more than any amp that I've ever owned. My favorite amps are tweed amps and the middle gain position on the Fillmore shines for that. The low gain positions are also very useful, and the reverb is huge. You're gonna love your new amp!

Glad to hear it (especially from someone who knows their sh!t) as I’m taking a bit of a chance here, an educated one, but a chance nonetheless.

One of a handful of tone nirvana moments I’ve experienced was with a Heritage Liberty head with a similar circuit and set up (6L6, etc).  Been looking for that head ever since.

So - I’m optimistic.   I’ll never forget that session.

No chance, it's on!!! There's a guy on the Gearpage "TAG" a Dumble owner, who swears his Fillmore 50 is one of the best amps he's ever owned. And when I first plugged into my Fillmore 50, I was checking out a bunch of guitars at Guitar Center, and I thought it was the guitars that were great, until I plugged them into another amp, and they were nothing special, it was the Fillmore. So I bought it on the spot!!!

I wrote this song the day that I brought my Fillmore home. Check out my Teye guitar plugged straight into the Fillmore it's a tone that I was chasing forever, and from here on out will use for every live show I play...

Arrived yesterday.  Was very NOISY.  Was thinking about sending it back but- Checked the tubes and one power tube was improperly seated, probably from bouncing around in the truck.  Fixed.  Whew!

This amp feels very old school. Starting to find my way with it. Will create another thread over the weekend with more once I get to know it a bit further, but I can already tell it is going to get gigged.

This was the very first thing I noticed about mine. For starters, grab a single coil guitar, preferably a Tele, put the gain position switch into the middle position, gain about 6/7, and everything else at 5 (tailor the bass to the low e-string), and you will hear the sound of a Fender tweed amp with all of it's squishy-ness there that makes playing tweeds so much fun. But the Fillmore is even more fun than a tweed because it has a great sounding reverb!!! This isn't but it sounds very much like a hot Tele pickup...
