  1. lol. I have been nothing short of impressed with what Darkglass/Neural DSP has been doing with hardware and plugins. Waiting very impatiently. I have been watching the development of this for over a year.
  2. Back when I had one, it was cream piping all day for me. Black tolex, wheat grill cloth, and cream piping. Looked so sharp.
  3. When I am ready (if ever) to get another guitar (believe it or not, while I love guitars, I absolutely HATE keeping them strung... but also HATE not having fresh strings. lol) I am thinking strongly on getting a Bespoke 150 akin to the former 157 but with some specific other "bling" touches. I absolutely LOVE the double-arrow headstock inlay.
  4. I got one of these a year ago. No joke, it replaced all of my amps. Now I run this into a Tech21 Power Engine Deuce Deluxe as a sort of personal PA. Absolutely adore it.
  5. @brentrocks may have be able to give you some idea of what a repair like this can set you back plus what you might reasonably expect from it.
  6. +1 on Mojotone. I have gotten tolex and grillcloth from them and it's all been quality. Great company to work with. ...and I gave them the seemingly impossible job of recovering an old Gibbons cabinet. Did a KILLER job.
  7. What's particularly interesting about Rolands is that the much maligned Distortion knob can add a bit of low-level, lo-fi grit that I've found really, really nice.
  8. The Princeton is FABULOUS and shame on me for not mentioning it. I played a Princeton with a 12 and loved it!
  9. ...and, if you're handy with a soldering iron and know a little bit about electronics, kits can be gotten for the classic Fender circuits.
  10. Are you wanting "clean" clean or with a little "squish" to it? Maybe dig up a Gibbons GA20. Hard to go wrong with a Fender Deluxe (or clone or something crazy similar). I'm in a small group on this next one but I LOVE the AC15. I had a Vox AC15HW for a few years. I recently let it go in favor of my Strymon Iridium that could get a strikingly similar tone/texture/feel to my liking. I like to go after smokey cleans. Clean enough to hear everything but some obvious saturation.
  11. Beautiful! Love the finish!
  12. Very cool. Im playing through a Tech21 200w Power Engine. I'm really digging it.
  13. Never used a Kingsley but heard glowing reviews. I've been playing through a Strymon Iridium. Really love it.
  14. That is very cool! I had a Fender HR Deville 410 once when I didn't care what happened to my back. haha. It was a decent sounding amp... but hissy for sure... and that was on one in working order! I am not working towards gigging but I am learning songs at a decent clip now. Instead of taking months to work out A song... now I tend to get a few songs going at once and just work on the one that I have momentum with at the moment. I found the hold up before was writer's block. Now, if I have writer's block on one tune, I might not on another and I continue with that one. I have maybe 7 o
  15. It really is a balance of things. I like very, very low action. I mean... 'not many people can play it but me' low. With this, you have some choices to make. How much neck relief do you want? For me, I want no relief or as close as possible. I want the nut cut and bridge dropped as low as it can go. Beyond that, I have to experiment with string size. The bigger the string, the less wobble it gets for to make a note relative to a smaller string. With the less wobble, the lower I can get the strings to a flat neck.
  16. Hey MotownTom! In fact, one of the founders and still active employees of Heritage started back in the mid-50's! So... yeah.
  17. Man, I had never really been a huge fan of white finished guitars until this one. When I get a 555, it will likely be based on this finish somewhat. This is just sharp looking!

    PSPIII 555C

If an when I ever get around to affording one of these 555's, it will be based somewhat on what you have here! This is just such a stunning guitar. I hadnt really ever considered a white guitar until this one!

    H120

I so wanna get one of these for my boy one day. Along with other things to round out his young, educational life, I hope to make music a large part of it.
  20. You know, I had only seen one other guitar that was done in white just made me say, "YEAH!" and that was a Les Paul SG Custom. This one though... just WOW. That is gorgeous. If I ever get to where I order a 555, I really want it to be like this one.
  21. Thanks man! I hope to have something posted up... sometime. haha. I still have lots of learning to do... but I think I am finally on a productive track.
