Hi everyone,  I just joined this evening....  and just received my one and only Heritage this morning from the UPS folks,  now the proud owner of a 2005 H-140CM 2nd edition w/ HRW's.  Looking forward to learning about these great guitars and the people who love them.    Can someone tell me how to place a picture on my profile ?  Thanks...

HI and welcome to the club!! A 2nd Edition H140? Awesome!! Not sure about adding a pic to your profile. But you darned well need to add a pic of the 2nd Ed. right here! It's kind of the law, you know. New guy, new guitar - pics!!! To add one here you can use the "Additional Options" and browse for one on your computer hard drive. Or you can use the little img.gif Icon and insert the url from a web folder. You can also cut and paste into your thread. Whichever way you choose, get us some pics!

Alright, just took a look at the profile. Go into your Profile and use the Forum Profile Information link on the left. That will bring up a page where you can load your avatar, etc.

Hello Heritage lovers, my name is Haye and I am from Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. What a wonderful forum, and what a good idea to have this thread to welcome new users. Last year, after a long quest for a great semi-hollow, I bought a Vintage Sunburst H535 – and I love it. Happiness has a whole new meaning! My taste in music is broad, I love to play everything from singer-songwriter stuff to 60s and 70s rock, and from jazzy chords to screaming blues, and this guitar is so versatile, it can be used for all of that. I am not the best player in the world, but since the Heritage moved in with me, I’ve improved a lot – just because it wants to be picked up and played all the time. Yay!

Hi Haye, and Welcome to the HOC.

Please be advised that it is a tradition to post pics of your Heritage guitars,

( the natives might get restless if they don't see pics ! )

Hey Ya'll..I'm Smurph1 and I live in West By Gosh Virginia.. I recently stumbled into a great deal on a '85 Heritage..Not sure what model it is yet..It looks like a 'Burst Les Paul..Tone to the bone..Traded a couple of unused amps, a Gibson Les Paul BFG, and a small amount of cash..even up for it..I am absolutely ecstatic!! Have hardly slept for thwo days..This is the way the old "Holy Grail" Gibsons must have sounded..I will share more as I find out more..any ideas on what model it is?

Smurph, welcome to the HoC. Sounds like you picked up an H140, if it's from 1985. Does it have a hard horn or a soft horn? BTW, it's sorta the law that you've got to post pics. Or you'll get the dreaded TTIUWPc smiley. Join in, have fun.

It has a hard horn..One quick question..I don't have a camera, I'm just a poor ol hillbilly! What do I do about that?

Hey..Smurph1 here, I don't want to be a pain, but I don't have a digital camera to take photos..Does that mean I can't participate? I would really like to be a part, I just bought my '85 Heritage less than a week ago..I am curious to learn more about these awesome guitars..Any Ideas, opinions? I don't wanna be on the outside looking in just because I don't have a camera..It's a tough economy out there..Thanks Smurph1

Of course you can participate! It's really isn't mandatory to post pics. But we all love our porn, so we like to oogle everyone else's Heritage guitars. So, what color is it? Pickups, etc. That is stuff we need to know.

Thanks for that..I feel better..My Heritage is sunburst, with the SHARP horn and chrome covered 'buckers..Tone for days..Just unbelievable..Makes most Gibsons made nowadays sound like a Squier..It is a Les PAul shape, but it seems a bit thinner..(Not a backbreaker) I think it is a 150 model..Has a bound body and neck (Creme) but not the headstock..The night I got it, I woke up and went over and opened the case, just to make sure I wasn't dreaming!!LOL
