I'm wondering if this would be my dream guitar.

Standard 525 shape & construction (florentine cutaway/laminate) w/ 535 rim depth, width & center block....157 ebony board & trap inlays....150 bindings & nickel hardware. (6 on a side tuners?)...SD '59 SH-1 pups.

Finish: SSB--ASB--or OSB...Black or white PG

I don't see why the boys on Parsons Street couldn't come up with your custom idea.

If you add an ebony board, etc. it kind of reminds me of this...

Thats a nice guitar, but I would still rather have my 525!!

Thx fiddler. I checked out the 135s on ebay...Not so sure abt the p100s b/c I've never played them...What about the 6 on a side tuners? Any opinions on a TOM bridge and stopbar tailpiece? I think I'm mixing vintage and modern ideas & while it sounds good on paper, not sure how it might come out in the end. I hear the trap tailpeices are not as easy to work with????

I know what you are going through. I have been looking for a Les Paul R9. Two week ago I found one in WBP FL. I was very disappointed with the workmanship and the overall quality of the guitar. A freind told me about Heritage's Custom shop. So I have spent the last two weeks designing a custom H150. This is what I came up with. Let me know what you think.

Optional custom finish- "Brock-Dapra Burst on AA flame top with faded Cherry back

* deep dished carved top

* Long neck Tenon

* All Honduran mahogany body & neck

* FAT ‘58 style neck

* Nitrocellulose lacquer finish

* Locking Grover keys

* Stainless Steel frets

* TonePros bridge & stop bar

* CTS pots w/ Spraque caps

* real M.O.Pearl inlays

* Cream color bindings

* Pickguard not installed- just included in the case w/ hardware

* Pickups: * SD Pearly Gates in Bridge, Alnico II Pro in neck- both 4 conductor wires for coil taps

* Push Pull coil tap pots for both pickups

• Heritage Hardshell case (a $200 value)

• REAL Nitrocellulose lacquer finish

• Hang tag and warranty certificate

• Truss rod adjustment wrench, bridge tools (TonePro equipped model)

That sounds like a great git. A versatile work of art.
