Should be no harm done if no signal was going in....Were you playing the amp or was it just on but not connected to a speaker??..........

 

I did this with my Mesa Boogie Mark 1 a couple of years ago at a gig......unknowingly had a blown speaker...open voice coil.......no harm done.....
