Running a bass through a guitar (6 string) amp is dangerous. It’s especially hard on the speakers. Running a 6 string through a bass amp usually sounds thin but, I’ve been told, Ampegs do a good job. Slaving an amp as you describe above is normally done to hear the preamp of one amp through the power section of another.

My pressure. How does she sound? Have you tried a six string through her? Asking for a friend…

Ampeg is still on my radar. I need to find out which model George M. ghost built and get one. Happy NADs ElNumero!

I suppose I don’t love my neighbors. 😁

I’d forgotten about Smurf1 face planting your guitar on stage. I remember his post and how devastated he was. Wow. Your little lady has a ton of history. Congrats DB!

HB Amber. Such a nice, young age. They’re so cute when they’re 40.

Beautiful guitar DBlues. IIRC, you sold it because of the neck. The top also has mineral streaks and, at that time, some here considered the streaks to be a bad sign; it is not a bad sign. With a little research you’ll find mineral streaks are indicative of maple grown in wet areas where the ground has plentiful minerals. The maple that grows best in wet areas is the red maple AKA swamp maple. A fair number of ‘59 Pauls also have mineral streaks. I’m not at all opposed to mineral streaks and even covet them; so much so that I’ve planted red maples in the wettest terrain at the ranch for the next generation. That’s my, long winded, way of saying Happy New/Old/Refurbished Guitar Day. She’s a Looker!

You ought to get a P90 guitar to round out the goodness…

Nothing too serious, this time. Just a cracked fascia. I was focused on the road and when she jumped out, I slowed expecting her to continue on. It looked like she was trying her best to back-pedal so I ventured into the other side of the road. I wasn’t quite quick enough.

Golly. When I intersected with a local deer while on a 55mph road last Thursday it never occurred to me that I was increasing the value. I feel better.

Sweetwater gave me a great deal on a standard H-575, but . . .

I would think of all the players I know who might cotton to a 575, you would head the list. That’s a darn shame. -
Beautiful! Happy NGD. Nice snatch BWB!

Like in my statement that you quoted, they are coming tomorrow. I do not have a week. And what does "Do Dah…" mean? Edited Thursday at 04:45 PM by MelodiusThunk` Was Gregg (Steiner) not I that started the "Do Dah" - so all I could relate to was cartoons from the 1950's - sorry just having fun with the flow. Spectrum13, you hit the nail on the head; it’s good to have folk one can count on. When it was mentioned the banjos might be coming back, all I could imagine was that big, old rooster whanging away… Why would you say that? Do you know something that your not telling us? I bet you know. You’re too well read; I bet you’ve unearthed the answer and you’re not willing to let it out. Spill the beans bolero… You own banjos and are not familiar with Do Dah?! Shame… As far as PSP, you will find out once you’ve been placed in double secret probation. Take your time… -

I’m reading this and agreeing with all. The irony is when I try to describe high-gain guitar to guitar muggles, I use Doobies’ China Grove as an example. I additionally dime the gain to play Without You. The brown Fender in TR’s picture above looks to be the same one Ronnie Montrose used on his first album. The songs you’re approaching eljay are cleanish that can be approached by lowering amp gain levels together with guitar volume. And as far as the NGD goes: Nice Snatch!
