I’m seeking a photo of a member’s guitar. The member, whose name escapes me, is from Canada. I said hi to him at PSP this year at the tour. He has a Millennium with a natural back and a solid cream top. A real looker. I commented on it when we spoke last month. A contact on another forum is considering this finish combo and I wanted to share a photo if possible. I checked the gallery section but most of the photo links are broken. Help a brother out? TIA

Snagged a new Strymon Flint for a good deal this past week. It offers a nice simple Reverb circuit as well as a Tremolo circuit with three flavors each and just enough knobs to tweak your sound without it turning into a science project.

I have a Plain Top R8 that I love, but in this case I’d go with the Heritage. The fingerboard on the R8 is terrible, as are the inlays. Tough to beat the Lollar Imperials on the H-150 too.

On a related subject, I recall Pete Moreno (RIP) telling me that when he was fairly new at Gibson they had him haul a pickup load of stuff out to the landfill in Kalamazoo. Included were multiple bulk packed boxes of PAF pickups that were somehow deemed unacceptable for production. @brentrocks may have heard him tell the same story. I shudder to think what these would be worth today.

My old H-137 had Lollar P90s. Too “polite” for me. Wonderful HiFi sound, but they didn’t punch very hard. I prefer the Gibson variety. edit: Lollar has multiple winds available for their P90s. Truth be told, I don’t know what they were.

Give these Lollars a try sometime. Otherworldly.

I used 0.011s on my ‘94 H-550. They were pretty slinky but still drove the guitar well. Lots of punch.

They need to resurrect the H-516. Gimme that with a fat neck and some P90s. Jazz, blues, rock, country. It would be a do it all guitar. I’m convinced it would sell for less than $13k.
