Well i gave the 'ol GT a facelift....

* Fralin pure PAFs...(thanks guy)

* Tone Pros locking hardware...(thanks guy)

* Locking Grovers.....................(thanks Ebay)

The Fralins are a little hotter, like a HRW....they are great pups!!! Very articulate! Especially in a 10 lb goldtop!!!!

Brent,

That picture of your Trini Lopez and Gold Top! Classic, Classic, Classic style there.

Do you think the Fralin pure PAFs are pretty close in sound to HRWs?

Lots of people have been wondering about alternatives to the HRWs since they are not available.

Thanks man!

The HRWS are a little brighter than the Fralins....but output-wise....about the same, HRWs might be a touch hotter

Going to post some more audio clips? Like to hear Fralins. I've heard a lot of good stuff about the single coils in a strat, but nothing about their humbuckers.

yes i will...i go record one right now

Those new pups sound great, but while I was at your site I listened to recording you made of the original pups and they were absolutely BADASS.

I gotta say, if it were my git, I'd put the originals back in and find another one for the Fralins.

But if you like the Fralins better, they do sound good.

Just sayin'.....
