TalismanRich
I always heard that the circuits were all very similar. This was great to see exactly what was changed. The YBA1A was a monster amp in its day. Back in the 70s our bassist had a YBA3, and the other guitar player had a YBA1A. They could get rather loud! bolero
the bit about Pete Traynor & Robbie Robertson playing together was news to me....them playing later '59 bassman's in the band logically explains why Traynor used different specs in his YBA-1 than the earlier 5F6A circuit that Marshall copied I have a '66 100w marshall super PA, it's always sounded killer...but with 8 channels I got my amp tech to make one of them superlead spec, by adding those caps/resistors to it. DetroitBlues
Never thought I'd think a video on amp circuits was interesting. Cool stuff!
