Prelim Drawing of my KBP810 Cavern Club 30

Darn, I thought Brian was having a drawing for one of his amps...

Hey, why not!

All you have to do is pick a number between 1 and 1000, down to a 10 thousandth, and if the number matches the one I just told to my dog, you win Smurphs amp! (assuming you also choose the correct power ball number as well, which will be in an 8 character HEX value)

- entries must be submitted in binary

***Disclaimer, actual number told to dog is subject to change as I've already forgotten what I just spouted off out loud... that, and well, he is a dog.

looks cool!!

how does the "verb out" work?

Another interesting point is there is a bass control and a tone control... No treble, no mid, just bass. What is the cut? Is so interesting how these amps are designed and what all those knobs are supposed to do....

Treble and Tone are interchangeable terms

The "cut" control is similar to presence - but works in a different way. In a nutshell it is essentially "cutting" high frequencies post phase inverter and can shift the overall sound from bright to deep.

The second label from the right is "Verb Cut" not "Verb Out".... (hard to read on the above image as it's shrunk and compressed a bit) this amp is using the one tube reverb design, and one draw back to the simplified reverb circuit is that it can be tough to tame when the amp is "cranked" - so the verb cut switch is added to slightly attenuate the reverb to overcome this.

Sweet, I won! I speak Doganese and Buddy told me all about it.... He said he had to do to show support of the Busch Bean Dog. Its his favorite TV Show!

Yep, the number was 3.0000! Oh, shoot, wait... you had to submit in binary and you submitted the answer as "3"; "3" and "3.0000" are different in binary

3 = 00110011

3.0000 = 001100110010111000110000001100000011000000110000

Well thanks to all who entered, and better luck next year!

Darn, guess the 1x15 Suede cab will have to suffice as my consolation prize...

What color will it be, Smurph?

I thought tweed..but I do have to admit that Smurph Blue would be cool..

Hold on a minute: a Vox-voiced amp called the Cavern Club 30 in Tweed? I think you may be mixing your metaphors a little... :)
