Lance, if you have another 575 acoustic with a plain ebony fingerboard, I can help you raise funds for your next 357. I am a happy boy. Play it everyday.

It certainly appers that way....up until you posted that, I never really thought of it that way, but you are 100% right!

Because of its "rough" condition, I was actually thinking about taking it to Pete Moreno and having it refinished in Pelhem Blue....but now, I'm thinking just a new black pickguard and maybe some locking tuners may be the way to go to preserve the vintage mojo of this fine Kalamazoo specimen.

Sorry to put a stop to the madness, but I just registered that thing on the National Historic Register for Unique Geetars. Any changes MUST be approved by a committee of 42 preservationists, 2 environmental specialists, and an old geezer guitar player!

Please submit the appropriate paperwork, in quadruplicate.

Failure to follow all regulations will result in fines, flogging and confiscation by said old geezer guitar player.

Thanks for that infor Victor! I was honestly kinda afraid to take it down to Heritage because of the fact that it may have left the factory under false pretences.....eventhough that was probably over 20 yrs ago....i dont know....its a touchy subject.

The funny thing is i know the ownership record of this guitar from around 1990 to the present....maybe it was givent to somebody back in the day? Who knows?

Dude, when a diver comes across a sunken ship full of gold bullion, they get salvage rights! When I brought in that 127 to them, I thought Ren was gonna throw me out and Marv's first words were, "where in the hell did you get that?" After that, it was talkin shop. Then Marv says, I set that neck almost 30 years ago! I think you would be remiss not to bring it in.

Do tell...

Well, as the ol saying goes.....this one had been around the block a few times....now I believe I am the 6th owner.

It was refinished by the 2nd owner. Somewhere around 1987. Refretted by the 3rd owner.

I'm current working on my new "stadium logo" for the front of the headstock of this beast!

So what is the story of the serial number? That's not a standard serial number. Did one of the early owners do that or was it done at the factory?

it appears that it was done post factory
