  1. Past hour
  2. Yes that is an excellent outcome! They didn’t good job on a beautiful whip.
  3. Today
  4. That is a beautiful 575 - turned out well, too. I had a blonde H-575 about 10yrs ago that was gorgeous. I currently have a guitar that could potentially need binding work, but not entirely sure that is the remedy in my case yet.
  5. I like looking at your pretty guitars. The implied lesson here is don't buy some gorilla glue and do it yourself. But finding an excellent repair guy in Kalamazoo is considerably easier than many other cities. You are one lucky guy!
  6. My H-575 had binding separation on the back. It wasn't subtle. I took it to one of the Heritage guys who has a shop in his house. He is a friend. I don't think he usually does commercial repairs. Anyway about a month later it's done. He had to head the binding and reapply it, which took several steps and a lot of patience. Once it was on well he had to touch up the lacquer. It is very hard to tell anything happened there anymore, although there are subtle indicators that I wouldn't have noticed much if he hadn't shown me. I've had binding work done before elsewhere but never better. Here are gratuitous pics.
  7. Last week
  8. Greg is a monster player, I met him a few years ago at a guitar clinic. Man has some of the best chops I've ever heard. Definitely one of the most underrated guitar players of today.
  9. Earlier
  10. I only have 1 H150 it's a goldtop built in 2006 purchased 2009 from Jupiter Florida for $1800 used. Guess the internet did not have a "what would this cost 9 years ago" function back in the day
  11. I refuse to buy a guitar, any brand, that’s made in China. Maybe I’m being shortsighted. I can deal with Guitars made at Korean factories as I know that there’s only a few factories that make them and they all have strict quality control standards. I’m OK with my GNL tribute being made in Indonesia. The quality is great. I have no issues with it whatsoever. But I don’t care what the price is on.l a Chinese made Heritage 150. I wouldn’t buy it. Also, I think it’s very ugly with those stripes on the finish. YMMV
  12. Maybe you should’ve gone through Sweetwater you would have gotten their Legendary 55 point inspection!!!
  13. Oh it’s still manufactured just not sold ( yet)
  14. Sir Daniel, my 2000 H-150 was purchased new from Wolfe for $1100 plus shipping. Where do you get $1800 for or a 2006 H150?
  15. Doesn't seem like a, "vs." question to me. I think they work great with either.
  16. Same here. Different times I like different combinations. With this particular guitar and pickups - as of now I hear a more complex, dynamic and interesting sound with round wound strings. it feels a little presumptuous of me but I’m going to start bringing both my 575 (or550) and the chambered Millie to gigs for different vibes. We typically do a mellower classic jazz set then a more upbeat groove second set, so a move to the Millie between sets seems fun.
  17. I can't estimate how many string choices there are out there, but it's a big number. I listen to jazz players, especially the old school ones, who use flats. Surf music commonly involves flats. They sound great. I tend to use the hybrids (Brite Flats and Half Wounds). They get rid of the squeaks well enough and are brighter. I am well stocked with different string gauges and windings. I can't settle on anything really. I've made peace with that realization.
  18. He bought it..
  19. Somebody mentioned a P90 535 wish list .. I'd add this one to the please make it wish list, wired with a blend knob
  20. Dang, Youtube won't even let me look at the video. It tells me to sign in.... I'm already signed in! I had to track it down on his channel. Is Youtube cracking down on embedded links?
  21. UA like most of us is aware of the uniqueness of each of Dumble's amps, they have a large library of tone permutations available .. for me. Having been a sound man for 40+ years, I just dial in a good tone and smile. Dumble's have a reputation for liking to be dimed, I'm more of clean Hi-Fi base tone guy and play at 85 db or lower the majority of the time .. at 71 I'd like to keep my hearing a while longer. I'm very happy with the clarity the pedal gives .
  22. Yeah, there's no such thing as a, "Dumble". If Dumble didn't make or rebuild it for you, specifically, it's not YOUR Dumble, it will always be the amp Dumble built for the artist he built it for. There are many amps built by Alexander Dumble and they're all different. That's no judgement on the quality of this particular pedal. It might be great. And Mr. Dumble built some pedals too...
  23. What was the difference tone wise between the Pinnacle locking bridge and a traditional ABR-1? Both mounting posts go directly into body. Tailpiece is the same. Not exactly sure if the Pinnacle is all aluminum or zinc/aluminum. Saddles both brass I assume. Have read that traditional ABR-1 allows more clearance of strings on back of bridge. I have had three CC 150's. Have had several Gibson CS with ABR-1's. Like both setups.
  24. He’ll never get it…. https://reverb.com/item/87323854-the-heritage-marvbird-h-357-pelham-blue?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=87323854
  25. I don’t know if he purchased his or was given his. With the relationship Heritage has with Reverend, it doesn’t surprise me Greg has a Heritage.
  26. The standard run 357 had thinner wings and the slim 60’s one piece mahogany necks.
