The problem is high frets above the 12th fret. I went over it with a fret rocker. The 13th is high. The 15th is high. The 19th is high. The bridge has plenty of adjustability The neck angle is good. The question of the hour is….can I knock down those high frets and accomplish what I set out to do? I have filed, dressed, crowned and polished frets before. It really hurts my hands but I can do it. I think I’m gonna go for it. It’s a good Saturday project.

I was thinking about taking my Heritage H137 Custom to Sweetwater’s for a PLEK job. $300 plus shipping costs. I can’t get the action as low as I think it should be. So I checked the frets last night with a fret rocker I have several high frets above the 12th!! I have files, crowned, leveled and polished frets before. I’m no pro. Lol. I was just thinking PLEK because I was being lazy. But a couple hours out of my Saturday vs $350….its a no brainer. Well…wish me luck

Heritage Core Collection H-555 Electric Guitar | Heritage Guitars
-
Am I correct in thinking that the H555 is not currently in production ? Great guitar,I'm very fond of my 2002 example in Almond Sunburst.
-
Wolfe Guitars in Florida and Guitar Riot in Cleveland. Both excellent reputable dealers.
-
Did not see a 555 on Daves sight. Might be mild goose chase. Could only find at Heritage factory and Sweetwater sites.
-
Also check Dave's Guitar Shop. https://www.davesguitar.com/
-
Thank you! I knew we had a member here who is a dealer, searched but couldn't find the thread I was looking for that mentioned him. I will check Wolfe' site too. Thanks again!

Paul at Green Oak is an HOC member and A1+. I bought an amazing custom order that he designed back in the day and I wish I still had it. I have also bought more than one H from Wolfe. Good people.

Who is our preferred Heritage dealer?
-
That might look cool
-
With that Zebra pickup, I think that guitar would look cool with a 5 ply pickguard like this... https://www.ebay.com/itm/295617504808
