I noticed that both the 530 & 535 are discounted when I was checking out the Dave's Guitar Shop site. - Today

I was asking because I have two new H530s arriving tomorrow. If the headstocks are going to be changed, I want to refuse shipment. -

A flying V banjo would be pretty cool! -

They are coming out with a full acoustic flying V and line of banjos, or the bespoke program will be back. My guess. -

Yes, I meant H-530 and H-535. I’ll see if I edit that in my original post (unfortunately, it appears I am not able to edit my original post. That being said, I think it is fairly obvious what was meant). The current iterations of the H-530 and H-535 have definitely been discontinued. I am not sure how picking one up a month ago or them hanging on a wall in a guitar shop refutes this fact. -

There is definitely something happening on the 25th. Maybe they are changing the headstock designs of the 330 and 335 to the Custom Core designs. -

They couldn't have discontinued the H300 and H335 because there are no 330 or 335! Are you thinking H-530 and H-535? I just picked up an H-530 from the factory a month ago. They had both types of guitars hanging on the wall of Ren's pickin' parlor. -

I was at the Heritage factory three weeks ago, and I didn't catch any talk about anything happening on the 25th. Speaking of headstocks, though, I did notice that some of their new standard models are now sharing the same headstock design as those found on the Custom Core models. I asked Mike about that, and all he said was "yeah, many of the new models now have the newly-designed headstock." That's about all I've got. -

I have now heard from numerous sources that there will be a major announcement made by Heritage on September 25th. I have also noticed that Heritage has discontinued the current iterations of the H300 and H335. Does anyone know what may be going on? I've heard rumors of a possible headstock design change. But those are just rumors and as of now are unsubstantiated.

Thx @skydog52 I played it this morning. I played it this morning. I was deeply rewarded. I’ll try to record some samples over the weekend and post them.

Serial No. starts with T, so looks like 2003 according to the chart. Also has a 011 stamped above the serial no., which I've always taken to mean it was number 11 from the limited run, but I've never tested that theory. @skydog52 @MartyGrass @Gitfiddler is that right? anyone else?

Hi Everyone, I bought an H-535 in the early 2000s from the legendary Stan Jay at Mandolin Brothers in Staten Island. My serial number is in the pic. The Certificate they gave me was for a very different serial number. Really long shot, but if by any slim chance someone has mine and I have yours, let's trade certificates! I'd also love more information on what pickups, color, and other specs are in mine. Thanks

I've owned a few over the years. They are big guitars. It's obvious looking at the specs. It'd more obvious playing one. They are striking with beauty because of the great woods used, their finishes, and their size. Most people can get comfortable with them if they put the hours in. I'll state this anecdote once again. I was at Heritage talking to Marv Lamb with Ren Wall and Bill Paige. I asked what it cost to order a SKB in a certain finish. Marv asked me why I would want to pay all that extra for a SKB when I could order a Super Eagle with a Florentine cutaway and get the same thing for hundreds less. The point he was making is that the artist models cost more because money goes to the artist for each guitar built. In the end I got a SKB used for less than either model new. I have found that used ones came up occasionally and were generally minty. It seemed back then that those who bought them either kept them in excellent shape while playing them or just didn't play them. Now they are collectible. I have a few big ass guitars, Super Eagle size. I found that you will eventually get comfortable with the size. Beware the feedback. You'll learn to sort that out too.

The web says a limited run of 50. No telling with the record keeping back then. I recently saw a sapphire blue one that was made in 2015. What year is your beauty?

Gigged with it last night with the 12at7 in v1 and 7581As in the power section. AWESOME tone and stayed clean and sweet deep into high volume (for this room) territory. Amp never sounded better. Success is good. So many tone experiments gone wrong and ending up in the shop or worse than the baseline….nice to get one right now and then. It helped that our band had a best show ever last night. A lot of fun was had all around. -
Great Pedal!!! I had one for a while. Loved it.

I'm a sucker for stingers. If I ever had a custom guitar built it would have a stinger. And that flame on that multipiece neck, it's fine! The guitars that I have that stay in tune the best and are some of the best sounding, are the ones with multipiece necks! My dragon Zemaitis guitar is multipiece and that neck rings like a tuning fork!
