yeah Rich's post already mentioned that along with the wider headstock, push/pull tone pots, and the weight relief. Personally I am not a fan of any weight relief. I like my standard H150s, especially because I modded them with all the electronic and hardware choices that I like, and the one that I bought used was cheap, I got it for right around a grand! Even with the pickups and hardware changes it came in under $1600. My new one I paid around $2300 for and still had to upgrade. Which is still cheaper than a Custom Core these days:) I also had to recuit the nut and dress frets on the H150s. And both of them are considerably heavier than the lighter Custom Cores. I also like the aesthetic touches of the Custom Cores better, especially the bigger headstock, the slightly different lower horn, and the body carve, which I love the look of. That said, I don't like the custom core tuner choices, or the hardware. And most likely I would replace the pickups as I'm not a fan of potted pickups. That's why I don't own one. If I didn't have to upgrade, I would buy a used one.

I can guarantee the HRW’s in my 535 are absolutely not degaussed. With an electronic gauss meter, they readout on the strong end of the range for alnico 5.
-
Absolutely I’ll send it to you along with the Heritage Guitar of your choice
-
Since you haven’t tried it out, don’t knock it I’ll put it up against anything tube you got in your basement!! and I’ll bet a cigar
-
I walked in with a 535 and a Marshall DSL40C on classic gain and they wanted a tele. As if the guitar itself was the sole tonality difference...
-
Few differences including moving away from Seymour Duncan to inhouse built pickups.
-
My 2023 Standard is a great guitar. I have zero problems with how well its made and sounds. Can't imagine a custom core would be so much better that I would ever justify playing 2x the price.

I believe if you purchased a Dumble you could arrange for it to be modded to suit your sound more, though generally Dumble himself did not like second hand sales of his amps, as they were all tuned to the player. His business model was indeed quite different, and as time went on he had more and more custom stuff like the HRM mod and other things. Just looking at the Ceriatone website shows 10 different "styles" of Dumble clones. Both Amplified Nation and Two Rock also have a good number of models, while Fuchs seems to have kept it a bit more streamlined. Still there are supposed to be some specific things that Dumble amps are known for, like the transparency, and the "bloom" of the overdrive. -
Current “Country music” is this generation’s “Hair Metal”. Break out the cookie cutter!!!!
-
It depends on what you mean by country music. Classic Merle or Buck would almost require a fender. Or that 80s to 90s George Strait, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, etc.. is still tele/fender sounds. However, the stuff I hear now that is called country often has almost metal tones. I got hired to do a couple of gigs backing a country guy. He said he wanted that Waylon style sound. I had the tele/deluxe thing and he, being young, said that wasn’t the sound he had in mind. I pulled out my Kramer that I got from Brent a few years back and a slightly gainy Friedman and got the gig. Kids these days……

thanks! similar to mine with my Millie, but slightly different. I'm not 100% satisfied with mine, so I'll try yours!

I see the Standard II to be a more modern guitar, with much more than a different neck size. see Rich's post... Doesn't the Standard II have different bridge, it looks like a thinner ABR type, with the Standard having the older Nashville style?

I've owned two Heritage H-140 CM 2nd Edition HRW's guitars. My theory is they were degaussed Schallers. Wonderful sounding guitars. Todd Beebe recently did a nice YT review of the second one which I sold to him.
-
It's not just the neck profile. The H150 has the push-pull tone controls now, chambered so they are lighter weight and Heritage's own pickups in place of SD-59s, updated headstock (slightly wider, and the "The" is no longer there.

Yuck. More SS that tried. DB, I have a Kendrick 5e3 or a Z Remedy if you’re interested and then, as you know, a slew of Metropoulos. Then there’s Vox(ish) Matchless Chieftain, Bad Cats, SMF… Congrats on the new band!

Want to lend me yours? I have no funds to buy anything for a long time. Had a blue deluxe and it crapped out. Had to sell the amp because of my divorce. It would have been a great amp to keep. Many years ago, I did have a Peavey Delta Blues 15", that was a cool amp.

Neither Aaron nor his wife would have hesitated. I didn't know his son as well, but I know he was well trained with firearms and was an electronic warfare specialist in the Air Force. They were all very nice people with even tempers and a sense of humor. Aaron's shop was in a very small town. He had some expensive equipment and instruments. I'll bet many shop owners in that circumstance kept a gun nearby. My father owned a party store, where I also put a lot of work hours. There was a loaded revolver in the safe in back. We all knew how to pull it out and shoot to kill. Why, you ask? Because it often happens that once the thieves get the money, they kill the witnesses. I know of one time my dad held two at gunpoint until the police arrived. I understand the idea that merchandise and money can be replaced if insured. I also get that these were desperate men who robbed. The owners also had families to feed. Even if insured, the payouts would take a long time and would depend on the investigation outcome and whether they could prove the amount stolen. The best insurance at the time was to have it known that if you rob a small store, you can be shot as a means to prevent the robbery. Back in the day, I was quite a liberal polically. I met Bobby Kennedy about two weeks before his death. That was soon after the Martin Luther King shooting. There were also murders in our city, also. In our part of Michigan many boys learned to shoot and hunt. I did so since I was 5. There were strict rules about safety that were always primary. My grandfather and grandmother lived in very rural Minnesota. They lived off the land and hunted routinely. So it was a very different culture then in which guys, like fishing poles, were simply tools. I don't know that we will ever get that sense of respect for life back again, which is absolutely necessary for those who own any deadly weapon. But returning to the question, Aaron would have shot a robber with his .380. He was deeply Christian. That may be a paradox to many. And even beyond that, I'll bet he would have prayed for his soul. Our world is different now. It may be better-IDK. But here are recent statistics on home break ins and violence. https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/URLs_Cited/OT2017/15-1498/15-1498-1.pdf Here are some data from the Department of Justice as to where robberies occur. Fender Blues Deluxe, Peavey Classic 30 both have great cleans and plenty of power
-
I love a good fuzz , currently I use the one in my Keeley Dark side, with an Xotic Super sweet and a JA Hourglass dual compressor before it the chain and the Enigmatic 82 overdrive after it's capable of about any overdrive/fuzz tone I'd like .. although I'm looking at Beetronics Swarm as it just sounds SO wicked cool. I'll never have the coin to own a Dumble, and truly the "Dumble sound" is sort of a misnomer as He built each one specifically for the artist. Robben Ford ( lifetime fan) has the #1 and he's played others that he didn't like. The pedal allows for an enormous amount of tweaking, I have a a full PA setup, (retired soundman) as well as 9 amps to play with . While it has a great OD sound, I set it more towards the "Robben" tone .. Clean , Rich and very touch sensitive. It makes all the other pedals on my board sound more Hi-Fi , similar to when I plug in my Alembics. -
That's a beautiful Gretsch.
