  2. thanks! similar to mine with my Millie, but slightly different. I'm not 100% satisfied with mine, so I'll try yours!
  3. My "Robben " settings VOL/OD at 12 oclock, output at 1/4 , mods and bass at 1 oclock, treble at 9 oclock, Jazz switch , EV12 M cab Signal path : Xotic Super Sweet boost( set for mid boost and 6db of gain)->JA Hourglass dual compressor( set 50% comp )->Keeley Darkside->Enigmatic->Keeley Hooke Rev/Trem/Univibe (set for mild Uni- Vrb)-> TC stereo Chorus/Pitch/ Flange (set for subltle oitch shift)--> ch 1 Mesa Studio 22 + with 4x12 Marshall slant front / Ch 2 PRS Blue Sierra 50w with 2x 12 That's with my H 535 , slight tweaks for other instruments.
  4. I see the Standard II to be a more modern guitar, with much more than a different neck size. see Rich's post... Doesn't the Standard II have different bridge, it looks like a thinner ABR type, with the Standard having the older Nashville style?
  5. I've owned two Heritage H-140 CM 2nd Edition HRW's guitars. My theory is they were degaussed Schallers. Wonderful sounding guitars. Todd Beebe recently did a nice YT review of the second one which I sold to him.
  6. It's not just the neck profile. The H150 has the push-pull tone controls now, chambered so they are lighter weight and Heritage's own pickups in place of SD-59s, updated headstock (slightly wider, and the "The" is no longer there.

  8. Please Do share your settings for that Ford’ish tone. I’m Still tweaking…
  9. While a bit pricey, it is AWSOME
  10. I might have to take you up on that offer.
  11. Yuck. More SS that tried. DB, I have a Kendrick 5e3 or a Z Remedy if you’re interested and then, as you know, a slew of Metropoulos. Then there’s Vox(ish) Matchless Chieftain, Bad Cats, SMF… Congrats on the new band!
  12. Want to lend me yours? I have no funds to buy anything for a long time. Had a blue deluxe and it crapped out. Had to sell the amp because of my divorce. It would have been a great amp to keep. Many years ago, I did have a Peavey Delta Blues 15", that was a cool amp.
  13. Neither Aaron nor his wife would have hesitated. I didn't know his son as well, but I know he was well trained with firearms and was an electronic warfare specialist in the Air Force. They were all very nice people with even tempers and a sense of humor. Aaron's shop was in a very small town. He had some expensive equipment and instruments. I'll bet many shop owners in that circumstance kept a gun nearby. My father owned a party store, where I also put a lot of work hours. There was a loaded revolver in the safe in back. We all knew how to pull it out and shoot to kill. Why, you ask? Because it often happens that once the thieves get the money, they kill the witnesses. I know of one time my dad held two at gunpoint until the police arrived. I understand the idea that merchandise and money can be replaced if insured. I also get that these were desperate men who robbed. The owners also had families to feed. Even if insured, the payouts would take a long time and would depend on the investigation outcome and whether they could prove the amount stolen. The best insurance at the time was to have it known that if you rob a small store, you can be shot as a means to prevent the robbery. Back in the day, I was quite a liberal polically. I met Bobby Kennedy about two weeks before his death. That was soon after the Martin Luther King shooting. There were also murders in our city, also. In our part of Michigan many boys learned to shoot and hunt. I did so since I was 5. There were strict rules about safety that were always primary. My grandfather and grandmother lived in very rural Minnesota. They lived off the land and hunted routinely. So it was a very different culture then in which guys, like fishing poles, were simply tools. I don't know that we will ever get that sense of respect for life back again, which is absolutely necessary for those who own any deadly weapon. But returning to the question, Aaron would have shot a robber with his .380. He was deeply Christian. That may be a paradox to many. And even beyond that, I'll bet he would have prayed for his soul. Our world is different now. It may be better-IDK. But here are recent statistics on home break ins and violence. https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/URLs_Cited/OT2017/15-1498/15-1498-1.pdf Here are some data from the Department of Justice as to where robberies occur. Back to our regular programming now.
  14. Fender Blues Deluxe, Peavey Classic 30 both have great cleans and plenty of power
  15. I love a good fuzz , currently I use the one in my Keeley Dark side, with an Xotic Super sweet and a JA Hourglass dual compressor before it the chain and the Enigmatic 82 overdrive after it's capable of about any overdrive/fuzz tone I'd like .. although I'm looking at Beetronics Swarm as it just sounds SO wicked cool. Beetronics Swarm
  16. I'll never have the coin to own a Dumble, and truly the "Dumble sound" is sort of a misnomer as He built each one specifically for the artist. Robben Ford ( lifetime fan) has the #1 and he's played others that he didn't like. The pedal allows for an enormous amount of tweaking, I have a a full PA setup, (retired soundman) as well as 9 amps to play with . While it has a great OD sound, I set it more towards the "Robben" tone .. Clean , Rich and very touch sensitive. It makes all the other pedals on my board sound more Hi-Fi , similar to when I plug in my Alembics.
  17. That's a beautiful Gretsch.
  18. Last week
  19. I agree with you about the quality aspect. But this whole Standard and Standard II thing, I think is kinda stupid. Just offer different neck profiles.
  20. Fender ToneMaster. You won’t regret it.
  21. Although while they're are doing it, they have seriously upped their quality control game. You don't hear many people complaining about file marks along the bindings and fretboard, or ridiculously bad cut nuts these days And I think their custom core LPs rank with some of the best guitars to come out of Kalamazoo.
  22. I think in this day and age, everyone thinks of a Fender-like amp with splash of reverb and tremolo. (Deluxe Reverb perhaps?) Or something AC30 like, Dr. Z or something in that vein. But I'm going Marshall. I'm not investing more into a band than I already have. I've been using some AI stuff lately at work and as much as many (me included) are resistant to AI, AI can be helpful. So I told Chat GPT that I am using this setup: H150>Xotic SP Compressor>Timmy V3>Marshal DSL40C (effects loop is a Wampler Terraform>UA Del-Verb) Here's what it said to do: H150 on the bridge pickup roll back tone to 7-8 and pick closer to the bridge itself Compressor: Blend 60-70%, Sustain Medium, slight volume boost Timmy T3: Gain Low (8-9 o'clock), unity volume, cut bass slightly, add a little treble Del-Verb: Delay 90-120ms, 1 repeat, mix 10-20%, Reverb Spring or Plate 15-20% mix, short to med decay Marshall DSL40c - Classic Gain - Clean Mode; Eq 3-4 bass, mids 3, treble 6-7, presence 6-7, resonance 2-3 and gain at 2-3 to stay clean Reading this I actually think it might work. But I cannot wholly trust AI, so all you country players on here, what do you think?
  23. Hmm, I may have to look into it then, to keep myself from buying some super expensive amp like a two rock, Amplified Nation, or Fuchs. Even the used prices are pretty insane on all of those. No free lunch on any Dumble stuff, unless I wanted to get something like a Ceriatone, but then you have the option of 20 different builds. And many of those I don't understand at all, like the HRM stuff, where there's apparently ANOTHER tone stack inside the amp, or at least that's how it was on the original dumbles.
  24. I think I used to own that one. Beautiful guitar.
  25. Heritage is too busy trying to re invent the wheel
  26. I still think the Millennium should be in the Heritage lineup. It's a unique guitar, versatile and great sounding.
  27. Having now spent a day with it I will vouch for this assessment. A little steeper learning curve than suits my 65 year old brain filled with too much stuff already….BUT…it seems to be manageable and not too hard to get to ‘set it and forget it’ with three ‘presets’ available. 1. Pedal off - just clean amp. 2. The ‘live’ footswitch that you can adjust on the fly, but I like to set it and forget it. 3. The ‘preset’ footswitch that has downloaded settings . So I can dial in three distinct tones with this box….i think. Still figuring it out, but that’s really all I need. So far my only complaint is that the Bluetooth connect that connects to the phone app is not reliable. You have to re-pair frequently if you are trying to figure it all out.
  28. This guitar is a monster player. Playing it with three different amps, with and without a drive pedal. Sounds huge and beautiful no matter what it is paired with. I had to stop because my ears were ringing.
