OK Pics and you tell me "Gibby Copy" or a "My Precious"?

Kuz

OK simple, be honest, answer the question:

Is this a "Gibby Copy" or a "My Precious" guitar that was forged by hand from committed warriors at the bowels of Parsons St ?

I have an opinion in mind, BUT I WANT TO HEAR YOURS AND WHY!!!!

SO I ask again, "Gibby Copy" or "My Precious"?

(Disclaimer... this pic sucks as I was on the clock from all the "We need pics" chanting coming the angry masses marching with lighted torches ready to remove me from HOC membership status. Everyone says their guitar looks better in person, but this one really does.)

Do you think their is a special ward for people obsessed with p-90s where they just stare aimlessly straight ahead and in a slow low tone chant "Lollars... Lollars... Lollars..."

Oh yea, maybe that place is my basement?

I don't know about that "committed warriors" thing  ;D. But that is one gorgeous copy Heritage Guitar you have there! I'm surprised you didn't get trap-inlays. It certainly doesn't need them, tho' - thats for sure. This may seem silly, but I'd really like to see the back, too. The movement on the back of my 535 can give you the shivers extreme. Got me wondering what this bad boy would do. Congrats John. Beautiful hunk of wood and metal you got there.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

I just took a quick pic to quiet the natives. I really need to take some of the back (extremely flamed) and the fretboard (almost looks Brazilian- you can kind of see this in "My Precious" pic).

This guitar is by far the most flamed/qulited/premium topped Heritage I have ever seen.

Why not Traps inlays... Two reasons

1. The run they are making is with 535s and the only thing I added was Premium wood package (plus requested Marv's Vintage Wine Burst) and I wanted #1 first made- I think this guitar is going to be a real classic and a hit. I won't take any credit for the idea but I believe some of you at the pilgrimage heard me ask Ren & Marv "Why not make a 535 with p-90s?". They kind of said "nice idea but we are making the 525".

2. If I wanted Trapazoid inlays then they base the price off of a 555 which is more money and I prefer rosewood over ebony.

That really is a beautiful looking guitar.

G***** would be happy to copy something like that.

Love that colour.

There is nothing wrong with just sitting and staring at a mew guitar. I still do it with my old ones and theyve got nothing compared to this new one of yours :)

We going to need a tone report though, so youre going to have to pick it up and play it at some stage.

Kuz methinks you are in the advanced stages of Lollaritis, a.k.a. P-90 Heaven.

By the way don't you know that three is an odd number, very bad karma my friend, you will need to acquire another P-90 beast to even things up and restore equilibrium. Your mind will not be at peace until you do ...

All that peace and harmony in the universe sounds fine except for  two things:

1. I am running out of guitars I trade

2. The peace, harmony, and equilibrium is dictated by my used to be very patient wife!

We need better pics. Looks great. Great figuring. Is that sunsetburst?

That is Marv Lamb's new color creation that was previous only availabe for the 23 Anniv 535s. It's called Vintage Wine Burst and I begged and pleaded for it.

I now think it is available as a color option on all their guitars, but don't hold me to that.

KUZ....

i have to say that your 535 is probably the coolest i have ever seen.  you must be very pleased w/ the result

Pleased, Ha, Ha, Ha....

It is the most beautiful Heritage guitar (of any model) I have ever seen. And I am trying to think if there is any Guitar, of any brand, that is more beautiful. I think no. You really need to see it up close in person.

And to have the first one ever made for production..... Oh, Oh,..... "Clean up on aisle 5"
