{quote}.....no need for excuse....but compared to the minihumbuckers.......

I think I have to buy one more Goldtop, .....one with those minibuckers....{quote}

If you have the bezel, or pickup ring, you can mount a pair of mini humbuckers right in the P90 slot.

111518,

Yeah I dig the old low powered amps with single coils as well. I have the skyhawk out now and have been playing an early (#505) G&L George Fullerton Model through it. Really nice with a Fulltone at mid house friendly levels. The sg-jr hasn't seen the light of day in years. Too nice to mess with.

My bucker equipped Heritage guitars (140 & 125) sound best through my '54 Gibson ga-40, Les Paul amp and also the Sovtec mig 50. Actually they sound great through that amp.

Long live the p-90 and small tube amps!

Yeas I know. But I want three Goldtops, one with P90's, one with Humbuckers and one with

minihumbuckers.

The first Goldtop I saw (and listend to) live on stage was a Les Paul Deluxe.

For me that was the real guitar at that time.

I still want a Goldtop with minihumbuckers.  :)

Jepp. That's the magic one.  :)

...Compared to the P90 version, I think this one is more handsome.

The problem is that Heritage Guitars are not available here in Norway.

(Even if I have two Heritage Goldtops. The other one is a H140 - 1986)

I'll bet a couple of guys here would be able to help you out.  One is a dealer and the other a guitar broker.

Search for user names Fautline and Brentrocks.  With the internet your mom and pop store might be in the US.

Thank you. I might get i touch with you later.

But not before Cristmas. If I bought a guitar now,

someone else here in my family would expect

very expensive gifts for Cristmas.  ;D

I am living i Noway (correct spelled.:P.) not Ireland

As a ultra high-gain player, I've always preferred humbuckers.  But I love the sound of the "P-90 snarl" as a change of pace, and I'd love to get something like an SG Jr. or Les Paul Jr. with a set of them.  Tony Iommi pretty much invented heavy metal with an SG Special equipped with P-90s (which were later modified by John Birch).

I played this one today on a Bad Cat amp,  don't remember the model of the amp but DAMN!!  It has a really cool vibe.  Wish I could get it right now.  It was hard walking out of there.  I need something with P90's again.  I had an Ibanez Ghostrider with P90's and It was pretty killer.  Sold it to help fund a Heritage though ;D

p-90s + Bad Cat amp = David Grissom tone!!!!!  :afro:

(even though his signature guitar has humbuckers voiced a lot like p-90s)

I am going to get smited here, but...

I do NOT dig badcat amps, at all. Their clean channels are amazing, no doubt. I played a hot cat 15 and cranked the clean channel to the point of break up and it was GLORIOUS. Then I tried the gain channel thinking it was a more "tamable" version of the clean channel. Boy was I disappointed it was just compressed and mushy feeling, too much gain (for me personally) so after about a minute of messing around and knob turning (the amps not mine) I plugged back into the clean side and cranked it again.

I will put this out there, outside of my Marshall JMP 2203 and a few select amps I am a non-master volume guy so I'm sure that's where a lot of my unhappiness for the Badcat comes from.

As for p90 love, I'm trying to trade a guy my Duncans for his Gibson ones, hopefully he'll bite and I can get some lower output p90s loaded into my Blues 90 :)

Hey, 'fiddler, thanks for the Jason Lollar article!  Very correct cat!  Insightful and articulate guy; it's a pleasure to read an interview with someone so knowledgeable, who can also communicate his insight!  Proud to have his '90's in my Super!
