last I heard was about $3.50 and a pack of smokes

I like the SF better: they are excellent amps for pedals SF twin is all over "dark side of the moon" for example Beatles "let it be" too I let an amp tech convince me to blackface my SF and I was disappointed in the results

Congrats, that's a beauty!

I miss my '71 twin reverb. But I don't miss moving it around 😁 I have a musicman 112 combo now

Whoever designed that HOC logo deserves kudos, nicely done!

You know Syd, I really like P90's. I mean, I know that's not profound or anything: heck, we all do! But for me, it goes far beyond that.

O, U, G are my guesses. What model is it? ---> Oh I see: H157

That sounds like a fun project & really great music to play! I caught Brian Auger a few years ago: he was amazing see live, especially after listening to all his albums & session work over the years. Did you know he played the harpsichord intro on "heart full of soul" by The Yardbirds? it's a funny story, he talks about it on youtube somewhere. Congrats on the NGD I always liked that cutaway on a millenium. Beauty!

check out Wolfetone Legends too. I have set in my '97 H150 & they are the bomb I like Seth Lovers as well

That was quite enjoyable to watch, thank you some outstanding guitars there too -
I saw a big furry creature in Alaska running through the woods, carrying a gtr that looked like that.

Why Heritage gtrs are giving Gibson a run for their money?
bolero replied to bolero's topic in Heritage Guitars
Exactly, haha But in our modern era of social media & human behaviour "evolution" you need to grab people's attention. -
A current manufactured stable, good tube supply is difficult these days too

Why Heritage gtrs are giving Gibson a run for their money?
bolero replied to bolero's topic in Heritage Guitars
He gives props to the pickup winding dept at Heritage, which is good. Throbak certainly know how to design & build pickups It was impressive to see during the Heritage factory tour too. I am glad they are making their own pickups now. Interesting comment about the plain enamel wire they use: maybe Heritage could publicize the specs on the 225 pickups more, so people are aware? Details like that are a big deal to some. -
Why Heritage gtrs are giving Gibson a run for their money?

I had to laugh when I saw this youtube video title: I'm sure most here are aware Heritage makes killer guitars, and have done for years 😝 They compare a 2025 custom core model to a recent R8 plaintop. It makes sense he bought both, as he needs specimens to R&D pickups I haven't watched this whole thing yet, it's over an hour long. The gtr part starts around 15min in: hopefully the video link works -
that's a drag to hear & read about, but he's 100% right. Lots of wisdom in that post. Metropoulos amps are a hell of a legacy: those amps will be running & played for years by people who appreciate them. I wish George all the best in the future stress-free life he creates for himself!

Yes was going to reply the same. Lollar makes great pickups!

more juicy tones 🤘

btw do they have a centerblock at all?
-
I remember talking to Bill Paige about them, it must have been when they first came out: I was telling him about my Gibson ES-135 & saying they should make a thinner H-575 style, as it is more manageable to play & doesn't feed back so easily Bill said " have you heard about our H-525? " and pointed to one on a rack Well there ya go!! Congrats Brent, that looks really nice!
