MartyGrass
It weighs 8.2 lbs naked and dry. How does that compare to H535/555s out there? The guitar is sensitive because someone claimed it is extremely heavy.
fxdx99
My '08 555 in at 8.1 my '02 535 reads 7.7 Extremely heavy?... Would guess it's within a couple sigma.
CJTopes
My 535 weighs in at 9.4 lbs!!! Thats why I nicknamed it the beast!
Gitfiddler
Since Heritage uses solid rims, would that make them more heavy than other semis? Also, if the 555 has a fat profile Mahogany neck it would add to the weight.
MartyGrass
It's a little heavier than I'm used to in this style of a guitar. But it's comfortable all right. Thanks to Jack for this great instrument! Here are some non-glam shots. The flame is subtle only because cherry doesn't flaunt it!

I thought that laminates crack too often when shaped for rims. It's a mystery alright.

Gitfiddler
The question sounds close to "Does this dress make me look fat?" I'll weigh my 555 and 535 fat ass, I mean fat neck when I get home tonight.
MartyGrass
8 lbs really isn't a burden. Here's a 13 pounder. That was pushing it.
TalismanRich
Its chubby, but in the right places.... my 535 weighs in at a hefty 8.11 lbs. Its a 2005 model. Moreso than the weight, it seems that the balance of the guitar makes a difference. My 535 feels almost like my Mille, but thats only 7.6 lbs. Then again, it might be that the 535 sits on the "shelf" I provide differently! Obligatory glamor shot.

TalismanRich
Is that faded cherry or cherry? The top seems lighter than the sides. That one is faded cherry. Its a bit more translucent that the normal cherry. The only reason the top looks lighter is because of the flash. Its pretty much all the same shade, top, back and sides.
