  1. Past hour
  2. That’s the way to decide. I may have flipped a coin but I like the way you’re thinking. Nice snatches! I replaced the throbaks in my 575 with Imperials. Much better.
  3. Stock market has been good to me lately, solved the "dilemma" and purchased both! Time for a cold 🍺
  4. Today
  5. Both the same weight and withing a few hundred dollars ($3500). You need to play them to decide or if cost is an issue buy the Murphy Lab at $4,300 off list and it's like getting a a Les Paul and an extra $1,000 in your pocket. No brainer!
  6. Okay, so Brother Bolero shamed me into looking at the Heritage offerings . . . I find this one really looking good to me: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/H150CSFSOTB--heritage-custom-shop-factory-special-standard-h-150-plain-top-electric-guitar-original-tobacco-burst I'm curious about H's choice of Lollar Imperial pups instead of the Seth Lovers H puts in the lower end 150s . . . And this one's in the discussion: https://eddiesguitars.com/product/gibson-catalogs/gibson-custom-shop/gibson-custom-shop-psl-58-les-paul-standard-reissue-vos-sunrise-tea-burst-8-4-83129/ Part of a special run for Eddies Guitars with a focus on lighter weight, great price for a CS guitar, I think. I'm really drawn to the plain top R8 look. Observations and flames requested. Looking forward to being at PSP in about a month!
  7. Yes... it sound abit more mello and acoustically less resonant with the schaller M6 and tuner buttons were also sharper ouch disappointment... i didnt know tuner change could result on such a thing lol... i currently did some clean up on the stock and reinstalled back and i have back the toneful qualities again... I just have no idea does the gotoh 510 will be good to go....Since quite afew have the stock tuners of their H150CC changed to gotoh whom i know... wonder what are their experiences
  8. Love the Gotoh products, did you change the strings when you installed the M6s?
  9. Hi peeps !! I had manage to getta set of schaller M6 and tried retrofitting on my H150CC and sadly it sort of changes the original tone of my H150CC with its stock gotoh-ish tuners.... It just sound less bright imo and did a drop test vs these two and the tone diff was drastic... basically the stock tuners were slightly brighter lol i know it sound funny here but i didnt like the M6... Now that i am thinking if i could look at gotoh 510 tuners ? Not sure if the gotoh 510 tuners would be same material used on stock tuner?

  12. I'd highly recommend looking into ABM -- they make fantastic hardware. I put an adjustable wraparound of theirs on my H-137DC and it's perfect in all regards. Sustain in particular was improved.
  13. Easy to do. I changed mine (had that done), at the factory. The Nashville bridge.
  14. I got this today from Ren, the historian at Heritage:
  15. Rich for the win. Excellent and rare guitar! Nice snatch.
  16. Agreed, probably a customized SAE. Heritage, especially very early on, would do a lot of customization, and was exploring lots of different ideas. This is from the 1989 catalog.
  17. It appears to be a SAE model.
  18. Has anyone seen one of these before? The date says 1989, but I can't find any more info about it. It has two output jacks, I'm guessing one for each pickup? It's solid, pretty heavy and in very good condition for a 35 year old guitar.

  20. And, what with this encyclopedia of The Heritage and the treasure trove of info in threads over time relating to our blessed Heritage(s), we have our place If one wants to do any Heritage Guitar “deep diving”. Sometimes it’s not the cume, (defined as cumulative # of people coming through the door), but “Time Spent Listening”. As in my background, radio. Hit radio. And two roads to Rome as far as the radio ratings game worked— we have a lot of time spent reading. at any rate— HOC has a place and what a resource to any Heritage fan or curious type! carry on.
  21. One could always have a new truss rod cover made with "40". Custom Inlay will make whatever you want, including in Heritage's shape, in Mother of Pearl, Black/White or Abalam.
  22. I do like the idea of a "40 Years" or "40th Anniv" as a 12 fret marker, much like the Millennium 2000 used for the upper markers.
  23. My 25th 535 only has a commemorative truss rod cover
  24. I know she can't be including you!
  25. Get off my lawn!
  26. If memory serves, previous models had a banner inlay in the headstock.
  27. Cleaning house I suppose. There were a few for sale on Reverb.
