Rather surprised on the neck carve. That is a step up to an Epiphone alone. Electronics seem a bit on the budget side, but I’m sure they are fine.

My favorites: Of course, there’s your Fine 157 in chestnut sunburst, the 3 holer @Gitfiddler, I understand it’s a sin to covet another’s beauty but that guitar has haunted me since I first saw her. Since I’m on a trip down memory lane… @Millennium Maestro’s half century H-150. Possibly the best custom guitar built. It comes with a boatload of stories going back to his first purchasing the wood. There’s @kbp810’s 157 with possibly the world’s prettiest wood. Not forgetting @Spectrum13’s H-575 custom in mahogany and spruce. His nestles in between G’s L4 and L5CES made throughout of solid, natural tonewood. There’s @DetroitBlues’ 137. Someday I may just own that beast… @TalismanRich’s and @High Flying Bird’s chestnut sunburst guitars. I’ve seen an H-155 Eagle in CNSB that I’d really like to own. One of our seldom seen members (Brian?) brought a hollowbody to the hotel back in the barn days that I recall being floored upon first seeing. I don’t know what I’d do with it but, hey, look at it! Back in the @skinslammer days there was another member from this area who stopped by the ranch with his custom 150 he had. @snowplow (Pete) built it to mimic a ‘59 LP. That piece had a life-force I've experienced only once or twice since. There are SO MANY other beautiful Heritage guitars I’ve seen and played over the years. I’m sure I’ve forgotten many guitars that touched me but, you know, Father Time has a habit of erasing pure, exhilarating moments.

The three pedals on my board that are the most important are the Revival Drive, which is my core tone, the MEQdriver, which is my lead tone, and the Space Echo which is always on and beat timed to the song I'm playing. The rest of the stuff (other than the tuner of course) is just icing on the cake. I only use trem and reverb on one or two songs a night. And the Sunface, an excellent fuzz, doesn't really get the use since I got the MEQdriver. And I don't really need the sex drive if I have time to dial in the two other gain pedals for the venue I'm playing in. And actually I could get away without the MEQ driver if I have time to dial in both sides of the Revival Drive, because it has variable mid boost, but the MEQ driver is easier to dial in my lead tone with on stage. Frankly I was always a plug straight in to the amp kind of player but this band of mine covers a lot of different tones in the songs I write, so having the pedals makes it bit easier because I'm not having to tweak the amp from song to song. When I record the song demos though, I almost never use pedals. It's just an amp, and an attenuator if I'm recording at night. I almost always prefer that tone to pedals.

There are pedals on both of these boards I would like to spend time with. So much cool stuff.

I gigged the PodXTlive for a while. Ive mostly used individual pedals, a few ods, a modulation and two delay pedals. Variations on that.

I've got a Digitech RP355 that I picked up years ago. I thought it would be nice to simplify things and just have one pedal. I played with it for a month or two, and it went over to the corner. Occasionally I'll give it another shot, and I soon get frustrated and move on. The old PodXT was better. As much of a pain as it is to transport it, I still like my individual pedals.

Ive had boss and other brands multi fx units since the late 80s. Around 2012-14 I had both Kemper and fractal gear. Ive kind of just been around the technology as it evolved through 80s-2018 and Ive just gone with it. The MS3 and a TC electronic Modulator is all I have remaining as far as digital multi FX goes. I bought the MS3 in 2018, I barely used it.

This Peavey was my second Peavey Bandit Redstripe (first one was ten plus years ago with a faulty reverb). This one was much more pristine and sounds great. Back then I compared the amp to my new DSL40C with a Celestion Creamback. I found the overdrive on the 2 amps sounded nearly identical. I parted with both of those amps (really shouldn't have amongst the dozens of other great gear I let go). A friend of mine sent me his DSL40C a couple years ago (which I still have) and gigged with it for a long time. I had to get rid of most of my gear since my divorce so it was my one remaining amp. Most recently, I did buy a used Peavey Restripe Envoy 110 (baby-brother to the Bandit). Its a very usable amp, sounds pretty close to the bandit without as many features. The FB pages debate on the use of different speakers to improve any of these amps, but for the most part people keep them as-is. I'm good with that myself.

I tried one of those Boss units for a hot minute and found it too confusing to run the way I wanted it to.

Did any of these concept ideas come to fruition? I'd be interested in them for my 40th H-555.

While I have a pair of Timmy's, I only use one at the moment. I use my Digitech Bad Monkey as my solo boost through an effects loop, only works on my Peavey, it doesn't work on my Marshall. I will try it out on my Kendrick this weekend. Here's the flow: Front of Amp: Boss WL-60 > Dunlop Wah > Boss TU-3 > Xotic Compressor > Wampler Terraform (pre-effects loop side) > Timmy v3 > Amp Input Effects Loop: Joyo Gate of Khan (Noise Suppressor) > Wampler Terraform (effects loop) > UA Del-Verb > Digitech Bad Monkey

Congratulations! Sellers need to know their gear. If they don't and has some "no return" policy, that definitely raises some red flags. You'll pay a bit more for new, but you'll have some piece of mind now.

Thank you so much for your response. I asked the seller a few questions and was not really satisfied with the answers, especially given he had a "no returns" policy. So I pulled the trigger on a new Heritage Standard II H530 - should arrive tomorrow. Will post some pics soon.

My band pedalboard has 3 drives and a fuzz! Origin Effects Revival Druve Custom - my basic tone always on!!! Origin Effects MidEQ Driver - adds thicker mids and gain for solos! Sex Drive - Clean Boost when I need it to punch through! Analog Man BC108 Sunface - for Fuzz - for getting fuzzy!

What do they say? Love the one your with! Lately I've been playing this beauty, the one Kuz sold me! Marv put his special sauce into this paint job! And I had Dan at Mojo Axe make me cool looking vintage style pickguard so I can plant my pinky while I fingerpick on it! A few weeks ago. I pulled this one of the case and it was buzzing on the 3rd fret G note of the low E string. Well I noticed the strings hadn't been changed since I bought it from Kuz. How do I know that? They were D'Addarios, and I never use them. So I polished the frets, put my favorite Pyramid nickel roundcore strings on it, gave the truss rod a turn, and voila, it snapped right into shape! As I was testing the new setup I was making up licks with that G note and came up with a new song for the band, here's the demo...

This is from when it was new 10 years ago. Not just my favorite Heritage but my favorite guitar since then. Just got it back from the luthier where it had a new nut put on, fret dressed and new bridge slots. Ready for another ten years.

The serial numbering system had changed in recent years. Standard Collection: 1 (identifier) YY (year) XXXX (numerical ID) Custom Shop: HC1 (identifier) YY (year) XXXX (numerical ID) For example, a serial number of 1219876 or HC1214567 would mean that your guitar was built in 2021. The old scheme used letters to designate the year and day of manufacture. HANDWRITTEN SERIAL NUMBERS These Heritage guitars have a serial number that begins with a letter (e.g. D12345). Numbers following the letter is the # of day to Dec 31. Jan 1 would be 365, Dec 1 would be 030. The system was discontinued. Letter on Serial #: B Year Built: 1985 D - 1987 AA - 2010 AP - 2025 So a Serial # of Q23501 should be the Tue, May 9, 2000, 130th day of 2000, and the first number assigned that day. I don't know if Leap Years messed up the numbering system. It might have been Mon, May 8 since there were 366 days in year 2000

Lot's of beautiful guitars in this thread! I have 4 Heritage guitars and it is really tough to choose which one I like the best - My 2018 H137 is a real blues rock monster!

I am considering buying a Heritage H530 - looking at both new and used versions right now. On one of the used guitars listed as a 2021 the serial number inside the body of the guitar is shown as 1250311 or maybe it is 12S0311 (was handwritten) - How can I determine the year of manufacture? Thanks for your help.
