  1. Today
  2. Wow! Very nice!
  3. Yesterday
  4. No, it's laminate Semi Hollow.
  5. I thought it was all about the bass.
  6. I almost spit out my coffee when I read this.
  7. So are you saying that my H-576 is a solid top?
  8. Collings makes the I35 in both laminate (ply) and solid top form. The I35 LC is laminate wood, like the ES335, H535. The I35 and I35 Deluxe are carved solid wood. Both are very nice and I've demo'd them in the store side by side. I preferred the LC, but that's likely because I had 335/535 on my mind at the time. YMMV and I might even change my mind depending on what day it happens to be. They're different sounding, even acoustically.
  9. My H150 is horny enough. My Les Paul likes to sneak to the naughty websites when no one is looking.
  10. Last week
  11. Welcome back.
  12. What change looks like: Me not posting the crazy guy maniacally typing gif.
  13. Great video!
  14. That was a good clip I'd never seen it before I have fond memories of that space & always enjoy seeing footage of everyone too thanks!
  15. Love that video!
  16. That spray booth might have been a blast from the past, but as someone who dealt with safety in a hazardous business, it was a bit on the scary side. I know what nitrocellulose dust can do with the smallest of sparks! (as in BOOM!) Thankfully it didn't turn into a blast, although they did have a fire when they began dismantling that area of the building. I was really glad to see their new spray booth that first year they moved. Much improved dust and solvent fume controls are a good thing. The new dust collector is a great thing as well. Dust explosions can be nasty, and that includes wood dust!
  17. I always loved poking through the proto rack. Good to see Arnie and Ted. That spray booth was a blast from the past. Thanks for posting.
  18. Arnie! cool beans DNH. Thanks.
  19. Thanks for that Dave. Good times, very good times.
  20. With some familiar faces for us old timers.
  21. Hey it's almost September.... JNEELY I'm glad you are concerned about Heritage, but you're about 20 years out of date? I'm pretty sure the new owners have the financial means & the business sense to keep it going. All their eggs aren't in one small basket
  22. I think this is one of the dumbest posts I've ever read not only that, there's a LEGAL reason they can't use the Gibson shaped horn
  23. +1
  24. DB, I won't quote your entire post here. But I'll say this: well said.
  25. Oh yes.......that "dreaded hump!" I haven't seen anything like that yet on the newer Custom Shop Core models, but that's been a "dreaded" problem with both Gibson and Heritage for decades. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I've always held the belief that the longer neck tenons in the reissue Gibsons and newer CC Heritages have mostly resolved that issue.
