Spectrum13 Posted July 10, 2012 Share Posted July 10, 2012 Thought I could do this in an hour. With a Rosewood fingerboard the black rings and darkish bridge had to go. #1 install wood pickup rings. Removed the pickups, removed the rings place some sandpaper on the top and rubbed until the bottom was concave. Tight fit so I had to remove some material on the inside of the rings to fit. #2 Had to fit the rings into the scratchplate. Not as easy as I thought. #3 install new super hard Patagonian Rosewood bridge. Still not done. This part took about two hours. Need to do it again. The wood is much harder than ebony. Even with all the sawdust thay came off the bottom current setup has the height adjusting wheels bottomed out. Like I said, more work to be done. #4 Install Ti Flat 12s. Intonate. #5 Play.
