tulk1 Posted November 16, 2013 Share Posted November 16, 2013 You do actually have to change the strings from time to time. Think of it as an "upgrade". You know, like everyone else. What I ended up doing was using the longer end and soldering it directly to one of the screw heads on the pickup. You'd really hate to loose that string wire in case you want to ever sell it. A non original wire would just kill the resale value. You know how picky those vintage collectors can be.
