Spectrum13 makes some astute points
I think in the 90s? when PRS was a newer brand & threatened Gibson as "best of" they were priced higher too, so Gibson jacked their prices up. It's market perception and people responded to it.
Of course they need to have stupidly expensive models. They're projecting a brand image. Does it really cost that much to build them? Is it worth it to you? Quality wood costs money, so does extra labour to hand build & cosmetically age things. Only an individual can decide if a guitar is worth it to them, we all have differing ideals & tastes
Lol, too funny pressure ๐
DB that's supercool!
Thanks for the pics. Very impressive & looks like a fun place to explore.
I see they're setup to compare the EVH stripped cab approach to regular, too
I always thought of them like a thinner H-574. I had a 574 & sold it because my fret hand kept getting jammed in the cutaway. The thinner Roy Clark would be better in that respect, I'd think.
Aha, I was getting curious myself! Glad the mystery is solved
I have a Kyser 12 string capo: it's a bit longer but otherwise the same as their 6 string I have.
They work fine but I prefer those smaller cam design adjustable capos. At least on 6 strings.
Yeah that was great!
"my metal guitar, amplifier & a suitcase"
I saw my tech friend fixing a Mesa Nomad today, what a nightmare to work on: overheating problems, terrible airflow, pain in the ass to disassemble. No thanks.
That sounds awesome!
I'd play the riff a couple times before everything comes in though: there's no context/setup & everything just slams upfront. But maybe you want to do that
