big bob Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Wondering what one would need to pay to get a marvbird, not an assembly line 357? 1
DetroitBlues Posted May 28 Posted May 28 My guess would be whatever a person was willing to sell it for.

brentrocks Posted May 29 Posted May 29 If you could score one for $2500… WOW. That would be amazing. lol.
TalismanRich Posted May 29 Posted May 29 How can you tell an assembly line version vs a Marv version?
MartyGrass Posted May 31 Posted May 31 The extra value of a Marvbird is the man who made it, the craftsmanship, and the woods. I played a Firebird V from the 60s for years. I have no idea if Marv ever touched the guitar. The Marvbird is on a higher level. Once you get used to the design of the body and the neck being out so far, it feels very natural to play.
ElNumero Posted June 2 Posted June 2 $2000-$2500 anybody that’s not a Heritage aficionado would not consider it special at all.

Its not the design of the body that's hard to get used to, its the big freaking case you need to haul it around in! 😁
big bob Posted June 2 Author Posted June 2 The standard run 357 had thinner wings and the slim 60’s one piece mahogany necks. 1
brentrocks Posted June 3 Posted June 3 He’ll never get it…. https://reverb.com/item/87323854-the-heritage-marvbird-h-357-pelham-blue?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=87323854
