But I never seen a Heritage with a headstock like this. I somehow I don't think that the seller will get the price he is hoping for.

Did they make em with that type of headstock? Bizzarre..
Gitfiddler
The headstock reminds me of Gumby. The high asking price, repaired crack, body dings n dongs makes me think the seller is Pokey.
LK155
Some of his pix are as fuzzy as his logic. .....let's see here......headstock break, but the repair is real good, so good in fact that we're going to put the starting price at about four times what it should be. Makes perfect sense.
DetroitBlues
It looks fake to me, the headstock is not pointed, its almost rounded off. With a headstock break, even being an '86 (as it looks like a "c" series), its not worth as much. Plus its not as rare of a model as mine and I know mine isn't worth that much. SouthpawGuy
I think we've seen this one before, headstock repair, same silly price. That's roughly $2300 .... nuts !!!

bobmeyrick
There are cheaper (and better) examples - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2001-Heritage-USA-H140-Les-Paul-Guitar-/190544571115?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2c5d576aeb#ht_2275wt_905 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-Heritage-USA-H150-Ultima-Les-Paul-Standard-/190550283466?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2c5dae94ca#ht_3212wt_905 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1992-Heritage-USA-H150P-All-Gold-Les-Paul-Standard-/200604591856?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2eb4f726f0#ht_2282wt_905 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-Heritage-USA-H150-Goldtop-Les-Paul-Standard-/190520796200?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2c5beca428#ht_3893wt_905 Some of these have been around for a while - if they're too expensive they won't sell. As Alexandr Orlov would say "Simples!" (Non-UK readers may need to see this clip to understand the reference - . I apologise to British readers who may well be sick of that bl**dy meerkat!) yoslate
I don't think that's a headstock break. I think someone cut the old headstock off and replaced it with that wally looking pseudo-Gibson...thing. The "break" is way too clean. Headstocks don't break that cleanly. In any event, way pricey for a beater!

tbonesullivan
Someone there needs to learn how to focus on the GUITAR and not the FLOOR. ugh. totally out of focus pictures.
TalismanRich
As ol' PT Barnum said... there's a sucker born every minute. Someone will pay that overinflated price for a well worn player with some "suspect" areas... ( Not that Heritage hasn't been known to customize a guitar once or twice). I would pass on it for sure. The ones from POSH are half the price without the repair jobs.
