NGD Heritage 575 Black and Wine

Finally got some pictures of this beauty. She is definitely a keeper. This is a custom 1991 that, near as I can tell, was never played. And it is the custom I would have ordered: spruce top, single PUP, rosewood fret board and mahogany neck. I am not sure if I would have had the courage to order the finish scheme, but as soon as I pulled it out of the case I knew it was the absolute right thing to do. I just stared at it like a deer in the headlights. Even my wife was impressed -- she usually likes the guitars I buy but I could tell she thought this was something special. Oh, and I did play it. The only thing I can say is that I have never played as well as the first notes I put on this unit. And as I have been making the set-up tweaks and adjusting the amp it just keeps getting better. If you have not played a spruce top ES175 style guitar you really should look for the opportunity.

Oh and if you communicate with Brent, give him my condolences. I know he deals some nice units but he was plum nuts to let this one go! Here are some pics:

And while I had the camera out, I got a pic of the herd:

Top left is an Eastman 805CE, followed by the new guy, then a cool natural 535 and an Eastman T186 (whose finish is WAY nicer that what the pic shows).

Bottom Left is a '72 thinline reissue, a Westerly Guild F47 and a Hofner Vice President (currently for sale).

Whoa....I am in LOVE with that fat girl! I've had 575's on the brain for a few weeks now, and this isn't going to make me sleep any easier! Congratulations, you have a gorgeous guitar to add to your already very tasteful collection.

Did it come with the tunomatic or did you replace bridge yourself?

That is the original bridge I am pretty sure). I am looking to at least try a wooden bridge -- the current on does not seem real happy with flatwound 12s. I just need to find one that is a good fit.

Beautiful looking guitar!! I can see what you mean about knowing right away it was a keeper. By the way - just curious how much are you asking for your Hofner Vice President?
