Billgelder
I am very happy with the way my H-357 came out. The tuners, bridge and tailpiece will be replaced next week. Besides a miscommunication at Heritage {they put Jay’s hardware on my Guitar} It is exactly what I wanted. My guitar seems very light compared to others I have played; it weighs 8 lbs. 5oz. The pickguard and control cover match very well. The D shape neck is chunky chunky, as chunky as Big bobs 357 but very close. SouthpawGuy would you still call the finish Cranberry Red? Marv would not use Steinberger or Callaham hardware. I had to go with Grover Mini Locking Rotomatics tuners chrome and TonePros Model NVR2 bridge chrome. I got the Lollar Chrome Firebird pickups and Chrome Firebird Style Ring, But I had provide them myself. Here are the final specs. Heitage 357 Lollar Chrome Firebird pickups Neck & bridge, Single conductor wire, Chrome Firebird Style Ring. Grover Mini Locking Rotomatics tuners chrome TonePros Model NVR2 bridge chrome Tonepro T1ZSA “Aluminum Featherweight” Locking Tailpiece Gold speed Knobs FAT ‘58 style neck with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Please use Brazilian rosewood fret board blank, that was shipped on 6/3/2013 you should receive it on Thursday 6/6/2013. Please use the leftover rosewood to make truss rod cover. Wood pick guard, and backplate that matches the wood of the bout of the guitar. Dark cherry finish Finished, unpainted, headstock front and back More photos on my PB http://s1272.photobucket.com/user/billgelder/library/?sort=3&page=

slider313
Real nice! Good move going with the "traditional" FB pickups. They just "belong" in that model, no matter who's building it!

I really like the dark cherry finish on that one. Marv told me not to tell anyone, because mine will be the last one he makes. I later found out he has been saying that for 3 years. Gitfiddler
Hot Damn, that is a cool 357!! Brazilian Rosewood board on a '58 chunky monkey neck! Perfect. This, however, tops anything else............6/6/2013. Please use the leftover (Brazilan) rosewood to make truss rod cover.
DavesNotHere
Marv told me not to tell anyone, because mine will be the last one he makes. I later found out he has been saying that for 3 years. Yea, he says that to all of us. Marv and I were talking recently and I asked him "Seriously Marv, how many more 357s are you going to build?" and he replied "Well I guiess if people are going to keep ordering them I guess I'll keep making them"
