How do they do this?!

This is why I like anything made of wood. First Mother Nature does her wonderful thing.

The artists at Heritage take it to the next level with their artistry.

I love 5-piece Maple necks! (in case anyone was wondering what those are called.) That would be the neck on the guitar of my dreams.

Two thin strips of Walnut sandwiched between three pieces of Maple (Flame Maple in this case).

I really like the beauty of the 5 piece necks BUT on a solid body 157/150 I prefer the sound of Mahogany.

I don't have good pictures of my Heritage Johnny Smiths but they have 5-piece necks made of Maple and Mahogany. They won't do Maple and Ebony 5-piece necks, I asked. While its possible Heritage made 5-piece necks from Maple and Walnut I haven't seen any. The next poster will prove me wrong by showing a picture of a Maple and Walnut 5-pieck neck Heritage. There are a lot of Fab custom Heritages out there.
