DetroitBlues
Well, my bet is now forfeit (according to Daniel anyway, but I still argue the point). I sent off my deposit to begin construction of a very modest, humble H-535. It's to celebrate my birthday next year (turning 40). Spec's are as follows: Cherry Red Flame Maple Top H-535 Cream Binding Kluson Tuners Chrome Hardware Seth Lover Pickups No Pickguard (will install a G-Style later) Black Pickup Rings/Switch Tip Bound Rosewood Fretboard Dot Inlays Bound MOP Inlaid Headstock Long Tenon Short/Small Heal "Marv Carve" Neck Profile (to be a .900' at nut and 1.0" at 12th) Delivery is requested for June of 2016. DOGBOY
Maybe this will be the one you would never sell, specs look great. And BTW Daniel is right, you have forfeited but it's all good!!
Vanschoyck
It's a good bet to lose. Should be a great one!

Steiner
Ah, what a superb idea for the decade mark! I would have asked for it a month sooner just to insure it's finished on my BDay! Congrats.
pressure
Heritage will do a more Gibson style pickguard, actually I think it's a better shape. Ask for a "Johnny Smith" style pickguard.
schundog
That sounds great, dude! Congratulations. Great way to have something to look forward to.

Although I love the stock Heritage shape on the H150's, I agree here, on a 535 the Gibbo shape to my eye looks better.
tulk1
Nice 40th, Josh. Surprised. But still ... way to go. A guitar for the next generation of Josh-lings.

It's our obligation to celebrate your new guitar day with you and, perhaps, smoke a cigar with a dram while others quaff their bells.

LK155
Just a little teaser............although not quite per your spec's, this one might be close. The bound headstock is a very nice upgrade. But, jeez, 14 months is a long ways off.
DetroitBlues
Nice 40th, Josh. Surprised. But still ... way to go. A guitar for the next generation of Josh-lings. I've said the only replacement for my Dot will be a Heritage that is similar to it. That was my go-to guitar and its one I really miss. For me, it's no surprise. The woody tones with some bite were awesome.
HANGAR18
I am surprised and very happy for you. I hope you get the best guitar ever!
schundog
Lyle's pic is much better, but, of, course, MY 535 is much better than his.... More teasing. 4 And Your/My/Yooper's Chinese Dot Deluxe that is the best looking one I've ever seen with the fattest neck ever... What was I/You thinking, letting it go?! schundog
Actually Josh, they nearly have your guitar completed; I'm not sure they have the color quite right, though....

What was I/You thinking, letting it go?! And IMNSHO, it has the nicest pickguard and it's the only one of the lot with a proper ABR. And it's so nice that it almost makes me ignore the glass of wine on the Miller Lite coaster:) You guys know I have a lot of cool guitars, but I still play my Epiphone Dot all the time!!! Yooper
Your/My/Yooper's Chinese Dot Deluxe Since the monetary value will never rise to the tonal value of this beauty, she may well be with me to the end. The Seths and other upgrades really allow it to sing with the best of 'em, while sporting the looks to match. It has drawn lustful attention, to be sure. Thank you, Brian and Josh for guiding this sweet Epi to my den.

All ES335s and H535s are plywood, so what really separates these from the big boys other than good electronics and hardware??? Mine sounds great even with the stock pickups in it! That's really how I felt about that Dot. Since there won't be another Dot in my future, might as well get a Heritage that brings that tone back to me.
