rwinking Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Just checking to see if we are back and what might have happened?
mars_hall Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Yes, we are back and a server was replaced that used an off-shore supported source.
skydog52 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Thank you to all involved. I sometimes imagine the Wizard of Oz is hiding behind the curtain pressing buttons and throwing levers to keep this going.

LK155 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Good to see the site back up and running. There are lots of us that missed it. Hats off to whomever did the recovery. 1
Administrator Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Apologies for the extended outage. The server decided to crap itself. As it's located in NY and I am not, we were at the mercy of the supplier's "onsite support." Which turns out to be "not onsite." Always an adventure, but eventually a new system was spun up and a wonderful time was had restoring backups, fixing service configuration (or services missing completely) issues. There are a few minor, niggling issues to run down. Hopefully, nothing that impacts the community. Be well!

Administrator Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Apologies, again, folks. Database decided it was having a moment. May have been leftovers from the prior system crash. May have been the phase of the moon. Could have been a high-energy sub-atomic particle randomly traversing the CPU or RAM. Hopefully, we'll be stable a little longer this time. Be well, have a great weekend!
